The USA International Film Awards (USA IFA) is a merit-based global film competition and festival platform created to provide independent filmmakers with substantial industry exposure, international prestige, and tangible financial rewards. Structured around two key competitive tiers—The Royal Feather monthly awards and The Royal Eagle annual awards—the festival brings international storytellers to an American stage featuring red-carpet honors, filmmaker spotlights, curated screenings, and cash prizes.

Festival Structure: The Royal Feather & The Royal Eagle

  1. Monthly Recognition — The Royal Feather:
    • Each month, submissions are evaluated by a rotating international jury of film scholars, seasoned industry professionals, and award-winning directors.
    • Winning films receive the official Royal Feather distinction and earn an automatic qualification as nominees for the annual Royal Eagle honors.
    • Every monthly winner and annual finalist receives a dedicated promotional feature and interview profiling their creative process, cinematic techniques, and vision. These features are distributed across festival platforms to an audience of over 50,000 filmmakers, producers, programmers, and industry executives.
  2. Annual Live Ceremony — The Royal Eagle:
    • The Royal Eagle represents the festival’s pinnacle distinction, honoring the most exceptional titles of the festival season.
    • Winners participate in an in-person red-carpet gala featuring on-stage recognition, exclusive VIP networking sessions, industry media coverage, and specialized U.S. visa facilitation assistance for international attendees traveling in August.

Awards, Screening Honorariums & Cash Prizes

  • Annual Cash Prize Pool: A total of $5,000 USD is awarded across primary competitive categories, with each winning category earning a $500 USD cash prize.
  • Curated Lineup (50 Total Official Selections):
    • 10 Theatrical Screenings: Selected for live, public cinema exhibition during the festival.
    • 40 Virtual Screenings: Featured within the festival’s official online screening program.
  • Screening Honorarium: Recognizing that artists should be paid when their work is exhibited, every film chosen for a live, public theatrical screening receives a $100 USD screening honorarium.

Winner Promotion & Media Coverage

Winners are invited to collaborate with the festival’s publicity team to maximize international exposure by providing:

  • High-Resolution Headshots: Professional/formal portrait photography suitable for print, press releases, and festival publications.
  • Spotlight Interviews: Written or video-recorded commentary discussing the filmmaking process, production challenges, and festival experiences. (Submitting promotional assets is voluntary but strongly recommended to maximize global industry visibility.)
